This week Apple launched its latest product – iPhone 13, adding to the series of its cutting-edge, sleek and smart smartphones. Although Apple tends to possess an integrated customer base for its iPhone products, they are often found at the end of Netizen humor for being humdrum about their technology. So the question is should you upgrade to the new iPhone 13?

Apple announced the iPhone 13 lineup and as always, it holds the nature of putting a dent on your bank account. But do you get the return on the value of your money? We shall find out.
The iPhone 13 series includes the iPhone 13 Mini worth $699, iPhone 13 for $799, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max for $999 and $1,099 respectively.
The iPhone 12 at the time of its launch was sold at around the same price as the newer version of the device – though due to devaluation of an older set, the iPhone mini is now being sold for a price of $599, iPhone for $699, iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max for $899 and $999 respectively.
Similarly, iPhone 11 in the current market is being sold at $499 while iPhone 11 Pro has a devalued price tag of $699.
Should you Upgrade? Features
If you have an iPhone 12, there is little to no reason for you to make an upgrade to the iPhone 13 – unless of course, you want to rub your up-to-date approach on your colleagues at work.
The iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 have a lot in common. Both support 5G, offer a bright OLED 6.1-inch screen, a quick processor, excellent cameras, and MagSafe accessory support. The camera upgrades — notably for taking video — and the improved battery life are the two most compelling reasons to upgrade.
Picture Clarity Redefined; Camera Upgrade
Apple’s 12-megapixel dual-camera system with wide and ultra-wide sensors is still included in the iPhone 12, while the iPhone 12 Pro lines include Apple’s 12-megapixel triple-lens arrangement with wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras.
Apple’s major photography upgrades are seen on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, as is customary.
Night mode is available on all three rear camera lenses, including the telephoto lens, and the Pro models can also snap macro images with a focus range of 2 cm.
Faster. Longer; the Processor & Battery Life
The iPhone 13’s aforementioned A15 Bionic processor is offering faster speeds and longer battery life compared to the iPhone 12’s A14 Bionic chip.
Specifically, the iPhone 13 should last roughly 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12, while the iPhone 13 Mini gets an extra 1.5 hours over last year’s 12 Mini.
The iPhone 13 Pro will last for 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 Pro, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max will benefit from an additional 2.5 hours compared to its predecessor.
More Room to Explore; Upgraded Storage
The iPhone 13’s base model comes with 128GB of storage instead of 64GB, while the normal model goes up to 512GB instead of 256GB.
The iPhone 13 Pro has a storage capacity of up to 1TB – whereas the iPhone 12 Pro has a storage capacity of only 512GB.

We believe if you own an iPhone 12, it might just be better to hold on to it until the next iPhone model comes up with better technological advancements (hopefully).
